Mercadia Called, It Wants Its Mermaids Back

Hello Bloggy!

I’ve missed you so much! I’ve been so busy what with this crazy 2020 we’re all having, the three kids at my feet, and the release of my new series, Mermaids and Merliens! Do you know, Bloggy, what it takes to write, edit, design, advertise, bleed, sweat, and pour your life’s energy into a book, let alone an entire series? It’s a lot, Bloggy. So please don’t disparage me for being untrue.

Yes, I know I temporarily gave up on the Shakespeare project, but I promise you I will return to the good Bard some day in the near, far, or never future. Right now is for MERMAIDS, bloggy! Do you know what a mermaid is? Do you know where they come from or how they got here? No? Well, all (or at least some) of the mystery will be explained in Book One, Mercadia Calling. It is available now, in fact, and it looks a little something like this:

Dear Onos, is there no way we can get that image any smaller? I mean… the book’s been out since Sept. 22. It’s kinda old news now, don’t you think? No? Fine, then how about cropping? Can we get the Crop Guy in here to maybe cut the author name at least? Keep the title front and center and maybe pump up the castle in the background? What? Crop Guy is out sick? Ugh. It is what it is then.

Well anyway, that’s Jonah running into the Atlantic Ocean. And that mermaid tail he spies off in the distance is Mezzy. In the book, Jonah doesn’t actually run in to the ocean to save her. He’s diving in to rescue an old man from drowning. Mezzy doesn’t come to play til Chapter Two. And the aforementioned castle in the background… well, that’s Mercadia Castle, isn’t it? Where is that? My money’s on it making its first appearance in Chapter Three. That’s where you’ll also meet Maya, the queen mother.

I’ve given too much away, Bloggy! I might as well also say the series is an epic fantasy adventure with comedy, heart, and more drama than you can shake a stick at! Don’t go shaking sticks at drama, Bloggy! We’ve got enough stick shaking here in 2020 as is. Yeah, I don’t know what that means either.

Hahaha. I forgot how fun and stupid it is to write these posts. I should carve time to do them more often. At any rate, the point of the story is that Book Three will be out in December.
