Let’s be honest: the notion I might post a new bloggy entry every week was doomed from the start. I never actually believed I would. Did you? If so—bless. That optimism is rare.

Anyway, here we are. I missed last week. No biggee. The world keeps spinning. Today, I come bearing a shiny new thing: the re-covered version of a book I wrote some years ago. How many years? I'm sticking with "some" because Time is a dish best served in the past.

The cover was due for a glow-up, and now that it’s got one… I’m smitten. I keep staring at it like it’s going to wink at me and say, "Hey Shaka Laka! Remember how good this story is?"

Honestly, I might crack it open again just to see if anything’s changed in there. I know that’s not how books work, but still—new cover, new vibe, right?

So pretty!

Anyway, I'm not selling anything here. Except, you know, this book. Which I lovingly unearthed, polished, and wrapped in a ravishing new coat.

Give it a look. Let me know if the story still holds up. Or if I was just really into aggressive metaphors back then. Either way, it’s all part of the journey.

Fiction is stranger than truth,

Shaka
